Your Role: Own the Challenge/Take on the Journey

Lead and collaborate

on financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including the creation of related documents and presentations.

Ensure compliance

with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls, and Assurance standards, maintaining audit trails and documentation for future audits and reviews.

Review and validate

income and expenditure classifications, general accounting practices, and adherence to ABB procedures, budgets, and policies.

Analyze and reconcile

general ledger accounts, verify transactions and journal entries, and prepare schedules, variance analyses, and management reports.

Support period-end activities

, including account reconciliations, journal entries, inventory and balance analyses, and assist with cost accounting and special projects.

Manage inventory processes

, including daily cycle counts, excess and obsolete inventory, and collaborate with facility counters.

Administer capital projects

from creation to disposal and oversee intercompany reconciliations.

Perform financial analysis

, modeling, and scenario planning focused on profitability, costing, variances, inventory, and productivity, while driving automation and process optimization.

What it takes to Run what runs the world

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business is highly preferred. 3 to 7 years of experience in a cost accounting or factory financial analyst role. Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including (SAP, Oracle or related financial systems). Cost accounting experience required. English language skill(s) and proficiency. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills and demonstrate proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (BI, Tableau, etc). Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in Canada.
