Robert Half is filling a Financial Analyst position for a thriving company in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry; skilled candidates preferred. Looking for work where you can become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management? This Financial Analyst position might be right for you. This position would involve conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you\'re a good fit for this position. On occasion, you will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity in the Newmarket, Ontario, area.

Responsibilities

- Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Compose and oversee forecasting reports

- Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

- Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process

- Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

- Candidate that feels comfortable working with large amounts of information and handling expectations

- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

- Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

- Demonstrated knowledge of CYMA Not-For-Profit

- Comprehensive knowledge of bank reconciliations

- Background working with Microsoft Excel

- Variance analysis experience highly desired

- Month end closings experience preferred

- General familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)

- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics

- Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

- General ledger experience

- Adeptness in financial reporting

- Microsoft Excel experience highly preferred

- Good understanding of Power BI

- Earlier work involving Microsoft Power BI

- Excellent oral and written communications skills

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)

- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
