dahl Valve Limited is seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making through financial insights, reporting, and modeling. This role bridges core financial planning and analysis with operational support, ERP data integrity, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities
Financial Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze monthly financial results, trends, and variances versus budget/forecast.
Build and maintain executive dashboards and KPI reporting, including margin trends, cash flow forecasts, and departmental spend.
Prepare ad hoc analyses to support operational decisions and executive planning.
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for leadership and board-level review.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Partner with the Sr. Accounting Manager to consolidate annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Develop financial models and scenario plans for revenue, expenses, and working capital.
Track forecast accuracy, identify risks/opportunities, and ensure cross-departmental input.
Business Performance Insights
Conduct detailed margin, product line, and customer profitability analysis.
Analyze pricing strategies, SKU performance, and sales trends to support commercial decisions.
Support new product launch assessments, tariff and material cost impact studies, and operational efficiency initiatives.
ERP Data Quality & Reporting Optimization
Lead data integrity efforts in Epicor, including audits, corrections, and exception reviews.
Work with department managers to improve ERP utilization and eliminate offline reporting tools.
Design and implement reporting structures that increase visibility and drive decision-making.
Costing & Job Analysis
Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure accurate standard costing for new and existing parts.
Review job variances and work order closures for financial accuracy.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product costing and operational performance.
Rebates & Commissions
Manage the full cycle of rebate and commission processes, including contract reviews, accruals, and reporting.
Prepare monthly/annual calculations for internal and external sales teams, ensuring approval and accuracy.
Provide financial insight into incentive trends and trigger points for action.
Cross-Functional Liaison
Act as the financial bridge between Finance, Operations, and Sales, ensuring alignment on key metrics and decisions.
Provide financial insight and modeling to support strategic projects and initiatives across departments.
Process & Systems Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in financial reporting, costing, and operational analytics.
Recommend and implement automation and workflow improvements.
Support ERP enhancements or system upgrades to improve financial data flow and reporting capabilities.
Project & Strategic Support
Assist with special projects including inventory analysis, acquisition assessments, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Evaluate financial risks, model outcomes, and provide recommendations to leadership.
Key Tasks
Perform monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast).
Extract, analyze, and report data from ERP (Epicor), Excel, and Power BI.
Collaborate with the General Accountant to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Support Accounting Manager with cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial scenario modeling.
Prepare audit-ready reconciliations and year-end schedules as assigned.
Research industry and market trends to support strategic planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
CPA designation or progression toward CPA is preferred.
3-5+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
Solid understanding of costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
