JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an important member of our Finance team you will:

• Drive the month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals and financial reporting, variance analysis, and liase with corporate functions and business unit to find answers and resolve errors or inconsistencies.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including Income Statement.
• Assist Senior Financial Analyst with quarterly forecast.
• Maintain and update forecast models for multiple operating Divisions.
• Prepare account reconciliations including prepayment and accruals schedules on monthly basis.
• Track and report various monthly business indicators.
• Liaise with the various Business Unit Managers to provide support as required.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end working papers for Accounting and Tax audit.
• Prepare monthly commissions schedule for payroll processing.
• Assist with note disclosures for quarter-end and year-end.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by Management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess an Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree with preference given to those enrolled in a professional designation program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Finance/Accounting role
• Strong fundamental accounting knowledge (Full cycle experience preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office Excel
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
• Possesses strong time management skill
• Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management
• Experience working collaboratively in cross functional teams
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to problem solve in non-routine and complex analysis.
• Ability to work within a “hands on” accounting environment
• Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
