Job Summary:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays a critical role in monitoring and analyzing our financial performance, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring solid general ledger experience in a manufacturing setting, advanced Excel skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.



Key Responsibilities:



Prepare accurate and timely month-end journal entries and supporting schedules Assist in the preparation of monthly financial and consolidation statements, including supplemental reports Perform various account reconciliations and ensure major balance-sheet accounts are substantiated Support the budgeting process and perform monthly variance analysis Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and identification of key risk areas Support inventory control, including periodic counts and reconciliations Prepare sales tax summaries for CRA and Revenue Quebec Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Support external year-end audits and SOX-404 audit requirements Respond to frequent ad hoc requests, providing financial analysis and reports as needed Other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:



Education & Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent preferred) Minimum 3 years of general ledger accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with multi-product manufacturing and standard product costing systems

Technical Skills:



Strong knowledge of GAAP (preferred) Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables (required) Experience with QAD 2008 (an asset) SOX-404 compliance experience (an asset) Familiarity with IT systems and ERP implementation (an asset)

Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,470.95-$65,000.00 per year
