This position is a two-year contract.

PURPOSE:

As an integral part of the finance team, the Financial Analyst acts as a business partner in information management, analysis and preparation of reports that helps decision-making. The incumbent will support day-to-day operations, aiming to improve account reconciliation processes and financial controls; maintain and improve internal reports, complete business initiatives, while working closely with all members of management and teams in the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Establish daily variances for financial flow entries, performing the required analyses, making needed corrections where necessary, and then communicating the explanations to the main stakeholders concerned. Prepare periodical statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis. Review daily transactions and calculate profitability for the business and products. Act as an expert on his or her area of responsibility, by mastering the understanding of the processes in place and clearly documenting the workflow surrounding flow entries. Support ad hoc requests and analyses by creating and running reports, searching for information in the ledger, investigating transactions and communicating with other departments. Contribute to the annual budget process based on the organization's needs. Participate in various process optimization projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Strong communication and analytical skills. Comfortable working with applications included in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Ability to comprehend, analyze transactions and interpret financial information and accounting principles. Quick learner, driven by initiative and with elevated teamwork spirit. Self motivated, autonomous, hands-on.

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance). Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role. Strong Excel skills (knowledge of Power Query is an asset.). Knowledge of an ERP system is an asset. Experience working with Navision is an asset.

The role replaces the Financial Analyst - Treasury and involves managing expense reports in Concur for employees outside Quebec and in the United States, and communicating with suppliers for payment processing. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required to ensure clear communication and accuracy in documentation across regions.

OBJECTIF:

Le titulaire du poste fait partie integrante de l'equipe financiere et joue le role de partenaire commercial dans la gestion de l'information, l'analyse et la preparation de rapports qui facilitent la prise de decision. Le titulaire du poste apportera son soutien aux operations quotidiennes, dans le but d'ameliorer les processus de rapprochement des comptes et les controles financiers, de tenir a jour et d'ameliorer les rapports internes, de mener a bien des initiatives commerciales, tout en travaillant en etroite collaboration avec tous les membres de la direction et les equipes de l'organisation.

RESPONSABILITES PRINCIPALES ET OBLIGATIONS DE RENDRE COMPTE:

Les responsabilites liees a ce poste comprennent, sans s'y limiter, les elements suivants:Etablir les ecarts quotidiens pour les entrees de flux financiers, en effectuant les analyses requises, en apportant les corrections necessaires le cas echeant, puis en communiquant les explications aux principales parties prenantes concernees. Preparer les rapports statistiques periodiques, y compris les performances financieres, les explications des ecarts et l'analyse des couts. Examiner les transactions quotidiennes et calculer la rentabilite de l'entreprise et des produits. Agir en tant qu'expert dans son domaine de responsabilite, en maitrisant la comprehension des processus en place et en documentant clairement le flux de travail entourant les entrees de flux. Soutenir les demandes et les analyses ad hoc en creant et en executant des rapports, en recherchant des informations dans le grand livre, en enquetant sur les transactions et en communiquant avec d'autres departements. Contribuer au processus budgetaire annuel en fonction des besoins de l'organisation Participer a divers projets d'optimisation des processus. Effectuer d'autres taches en fonction des besoins.

APTITUDES ET COMPETENCES REQUISES:

Solides competences en matiere de communication et d'analyse. Capacite a travailler avec les applications de la suite Microsoft Office. Excellent souci du detail et de la precision. Capacite a travailler dans un environnement en constante evolution et a respecter des delais serres. Capacite a comprendre, analyser les transactions et interpreter les informations financieres et les principes comptables. Capacite d'apprentissage rapide, esprit d'initiative et esprit d'equipe eleve. Motivation personnelle, autonomie, sens pratique.

COMPETENCES TECHNIQUES / PROFESSIONNELLES

(FORMATION ET EXPERIENCE):Licence en administration des affaires (comptabilite, finances). Minimum 1 an d'experience professionnelle dans un role similaire. Solides competences en Excel (la connaissance de Power Query est un atout). La connaissance d'un systeme ERP est un atout. Une experience de travail avec Navision est un atout.

Le poste remplace l'Analyste financier - Tresorerie et implique la gestion des rapports de depenses dans Concur pour les employes situes a l'exterieur du Quebec et aux Etats-Unis, ainsi que la communication avec les fournisseurs pour le traitement des paiements. La maitrise du francais et de l'anglais est requise afin d'assurer une communication claire et une exactitude des documents entre les differentes regions.
