We are currently hiring a Financial Analyst Intern to join our Finance team for a paid internship in Ontario. This position provides an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals in Finance, Accounting, or Business to gain practical, hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
This is a 3-month contract internship with the potential for extension. We also welcome applications from freelance financial consultants and fractional finance professionals who can contribute on a project basis.
Position Overview
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will work directly with the Financial Controller and assist with a variety of finance-related projects. This is a chance to develop real-world skills in financial analysis, accounting support, and data reporting in a fast-paced and supportive business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform data entry, reconciliation, and financial record keeping with accuracy and efficiency
Support financial analysis and reporting projects to help identify trends and insights
Assist in preparing management reports, charts, and dashboards
Work with the Financial Controller on special finance and accounting projects
Contribute to process improvements in efficiency, reporting, and financial accuracy
Collaborate across departments to provide timely financial information
Qualifications
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business program
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
High attention to detail with proven ability to work accurately with financial data
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Proficiency in Dynamics Business Central ERP is an asset
Proficiency in PowerBI is an asset
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
Employment Terms
Type: Paid Internship / Fixed-Term Contract
Duration: 3 months (possibility of extension based on business needs)
Hours: Full-time, standard business hours (some flexibility may be available)
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage in compliance with Ontario employment standards. Freelance or fractional arrangements available for qualified consultants.
