As a Financial Analyst you will support our Health portfolio during our month-end financial close, forecasting our cash flow needs, reconciling our funds-in-transit accounts on behalf of our clients and reconciling our bank accounts to ensure proper accounting Your input and guidance on our treasury and banking function will allow our finance and business decision leaders to make the best possible decisions to gain a competitive market advantage.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the TELUS Health operating bank accounts including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of the TELUS Health Funds-in-Transit bank accounts including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Responsible for cash flow forecasting and intercompany cash management activities including journal entries
  • Support any banking and treasury related month end close activities on a timely basis including posting journal entries
  • Ensure proper controls and procedures in place in compliance with SOX controls
  • Support any internal and external audit requests
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with our finance teams and the business to understand new initiatives and evaluate impacts to our treasury and accounting functions
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives
Required Knowledge:
  • Large ERP system knowledge is an asset (ie. SAP, Workday, etc)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong knowledge of treasury and accounting processes
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a high pace environment while respecting tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritize multiple activities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build good working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Proactive in dealing with issues independently and adaptable to change
Qualification

Required Professional Designation/Certification and work experience
  • CPA degree and Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2 to 3 years\' experience in an accounting related role ideally in a treasury and banking function
Great-to-haves
  • Practical experience and knowledge of SAP will be considered a strong asset
