Position Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for duties from bookkeeping and financial reporting to more complex analysis and compliance tasks. This role involves assisting with financial statement preparation, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting audits and tax filings.



Specific Accountabilities

Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and other supporting reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure proper coding of transactions. Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Prepare documentation and support for monthly reviews and year-end audits. Enter financial data, analyze financial information, and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.

Qualifications Education & Work Experience

2-year college accounting diploma Minimum 3-5 years' accounting work experience

Competencies and Skills

Understanding of basic accounting principles, including the accounting cycle, general ledger, and financial statements. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office programs Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines

Working Conditions

The Financial Analyst will work out of an office environment, where a computer will be used all day long. Sustained levels of visual effort and regular levels of manual dexterity and concentration are required. Conducting repetitive tasks are part of everyday duties
