Reporting to the Director of FP&A (Logistics and E-Commerce) you will partner with the leadership team and senior management across the business. You will support the monthly financial accounting close, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and multi-year (long range) planning process for Logistics & E-Commerce. This will also include, but not limited to, monthly reporting, business case reviews and ad hoc analyses.
Specifically, You Will:
Collaborate with Accounting and Supply Chain teams to support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes
Perform accruals, journal entries, and reclasses related to supply chain operations (e.g., freight, warehousing, transportation)
Prepare monthly reporting package for management review including analysis of variances to budget, forecast and/or prior year(s)
Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecast packages and partner with senior management to review and complete
Assist in the preparation of summary reports, presentations, dashboards for senior leadership
Review financial results to ensure proper cost periodization and classification, correct errors in coordination with the Accounting team
Engage in an ongoing pursuit to improve accuracy of financial forecasts
Prepare and build ad hoc reporting and analysis
Contributes to team effort in accomplishing related annual objectives
Some of what you need:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
Working towards or completed postgraduate degree/designation (eg. CPA, MBA) is considered an asset
Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience in building Excel Macros (VBA) and Power BI reports is an asset
Critical thinking, can see the 'big picture' in a complex business environment
Excellent analytical skills, with attention to explaining key variances
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present complex information to non-technical business partners
Ability to interpret large amounts of financial and non-financial data and summarize it to present meaningful information to various levels of management
Time management and self-management skills
Must be willing to adapt to a dynamic business environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
2+ years experience as a Financial Analyst, Budget Analyst or similar role, including accounting, budgeting and planning experience
Experience in E-Commerce, particularly in supply chain finance or operations dealing with warehousing and transportation.
