This is an entry-level opportunity for a Financial Analyst capable of providing daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as performing routine assignments and solving routine/standard problems with limited discretion. This contract / temporary to hire position is for a short-term duration.Major responsibilities- Direct different aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)- Determine and query a wide set of data- Check verified results at the corporate and division levels- Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits- Collaborate on the monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements- Support team in annual budgeting process- Could have to guide non-financial staff members on complicated financial subjects in special assignments- Offer insight to the provisions of monthly financial reporting and other business data- Devise unique alternatives and solutions to reduce costs and elevate financial performance of a company- Secure and examine budgets and income statement forecasts- Provide support with ensuring adequate controls and procedures
- Less than one year of experience preferred- Solid understanding of Accounting Software Systems- Acomba experience- Foundational knowledge in enterprise resource planning- Proficiency in Cl Programming- Proven knowledge of About Time- Quality experience with check processing- Practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)- Well-founded grasp of Accounting Functions- Experience with IBM AS/400- General familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired- Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)- Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervisionIf you meet the experience expectations and have immediate availability we want to hear from you!.Robert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
