Position Summary



As the Financial Analyst, you will be supporting activities related to financial modeling acquisition opportunities, budgeting and forecasting, business case analysis and scenario planning.

Responsibilities



Prepare financial pro-forma models, scenario analysis, budgets, and forecasts Monitor portfolio of existing properties and assist with relevant financial analysis Cash flow analysis and planning Complete and analyze variance analysis in accordance with company requirements Develop and maintain financial models, ensuring data captures an accurate reflection of agreements and contracts in accordance with industry standards Support Corporate Development initiatives by tracking and monitoring various inbound files, and incorporate data into financial models Review, summarize and incorporate third party analysis (i.e., engineering, cost consultants, geotechnical reports etc.) Perform in?depth industry, market, and competitor research to support the investment review process Prepare ad hoc data reporting and detailed analysis in support of budget and variance explanations Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements

Qualifications and Experience



Minimum of three (3) years experience in an analytical role in Financial Planning & Analysis Completion of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program Experience with multi-residential facilities is an asset Strong experience working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve the organization's financial performance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines Strong problem solving and analytical skills Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Microsoft Suite Applications Comprehensive knowledge of financial, property management and IT management best practices Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities Strong technical aptitude and work experience with technical applications and systems Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is required Team player, with the ability to work with peers and business leaders throughout the organization
