Your Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a Financial Analyst with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills. As a key member of the Financial Services team and business partner with operations, the Financial Analyst will provide financial expertise in the day-to-day operations of financial reporting adding value to the company.

Your Key Responsibilities

Conducting earned value (PRA) reviews on selected projects

Work with Business Centre Leadership to identify and report on projects with financial risk

Reviewing draft financial statements, performing analysis and completing reconciliations

Reviewing and reporting to Business Centre leadership and Regional Leaders the period end financial results and following up on any questions

Helping Leadership manage WIP and AR, including monthly WIP and AFDA reviews

Supporting Project Managers by reviewing projects to determine where future provisions will be recorded and taking the appropriate action

Providing detailed accounting analysis required by Project Managers

Prepare PowerPoint presentation for financial reporting packages, budgets and forecasts

Supporting business leaders in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets and completion of shared service cost center budgets

Ensuring compliance with company policies, practices and procedures

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Strong financial, analytical, and organizational skills

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel

Oracle (or other large enterprise system)

A strong customer service approach

Excellent problem solving and skills

Well-developed leadership skills including taking initiative, demonstrating assertiveness skills, and the ability to be both proactive and responsive

A very high degree of accuracy in data and financial processing

Highly competent communication skills, including written and oral English language competency

Ability to work independently to firm deadlines and to manage multiple competing priorities

Knowledge and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards would be an asset

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Professional accounting designation or working towards preferred.
