We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst - Consolidation. This position is based in our Montreal, QC office, and reports to the Manager of Financial Planning Analysis, Consolidation.

The analyst will be responsible for consolidating quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, as well as preparing financial planning, forecasting and budgeting for multiple entities within the North America group (multi-currency, multi-country) , all within tight deadlines. Main activities
End of month procedures:

  • Review internal financial statements to verify actual data and compare to forecast, budget and previous years (including statistical accounts and working capital
  • Review parent company reporting packages and improve templates for planning, forecasting and budgeting
  • Prepare internal and external management reports and perform various financial analyzes for executives (sales and operations)
  • Analyze trends and drivers and perform gap analysis between budget and forecast and actual data to support management decision-making
Quarterly and year-end process:
  • Consolidate and analyze the financial statements of several North America group companies, including the preparation of cash flows
  • Participate in quarterly forecast and annual budget planning cycles, coordinating with stakeholders, providing business information and preparing relevant documents
  • Participate in the development of key assumptions for sales forecasts and operating expenses
  • Plan and coordinate timely information collection with multiple departments
  • Reconciliation between companies and adjustments to management fees
  • Fixed assets, depreciation and IFRS 16
  • Working capital and key performance indicators
Other responsibilities include:
  • Work with the manager on various analyzes and mandates
Financial Analyst - Consolidation, IDS
  • Contribute to the identification of initiatives aimed at continuously improving, automating and developing reporting and budgeting tools, processes and methodologies
  • Participate in the annual inventory (travel may be necessary)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Professional title (CPA, CFA or MBA)
  • Bilingualism required (French and English) for inter-company communications
  • Experience within a large organization dealing with foreign currency transactions and intercompany accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ERP and BI systems (IBM-TM1, Cognos Controller) will be considered a major asset
  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines
