Job Description

COWS and Raspberry Point Oysters are looking to add a Financial Analyst to their dynamic Accounting Team. The Financial Analyst will evaluate financial data, examine current events and market developments, examine financial statements, and create financial models that support operational decision making for the organization. The right financial analyst will have a desire to contribute from Day 1, helping us provide service that's second to none.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work directly with CFO and CEOs on various planning exercises, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting Develop and maintain monthly financial reporting package for multiple businesses, including monthly and year to date results Preparation of monthly dashboard summarizing results, KPI's and variance analysis highlighting key trends in the business Lead the preparation of divisional annual budgets and financial forecasts Develop and maintain inventory costing models Improve fiscal health with thorough analyses of financial data: develop deep, actionable insights to drive business performance by monitoring variances and identifying trends Develop business cases to support decisions for specific business opportunities Analyzes past and current financial performance data. Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures. Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting financial data Working closely with the accounting team to assist in the monthly close process by analyzing trends and variances, and compare and correct data to reconcile balances and records Develop and maintain databases to monitor business performance, and provide managers with insights into risks and opportunities

Experience Requirements:

3-5 years experience working as a financial analyst or comparable role Excellent use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Outstanding communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written Proficiency with financial software and tools Knowledge of statistical analysis processes and packages Strong financial modelling and analytical skills A great sense of humor

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance or related field CPA or CFA designation considered an asset Experience in financial forecasting and trend analysis

Monday to Friday - 7.5 Hours per day

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
