POSITION: Financial Analyst REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer SALARY: Compensation commensurate with education and experience (Range70K to 80K) TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent - Full Time LOCATION: Charlottetown, PE or Remote (preference is PEI)

Do you understand core accounting principles and have a passion for analytics? We are looking for a financial analyst to join our growing and dynamic finance team. You will own the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plan for our growing company and play a key role in supporting our CFO and Controller. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for financial health monitoring, reporting and variance analysis, performance measurement, planning and forecasting and financial modelling.

• Build and review financial models and projections (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)

• Prepare variance analysis and provide clear, concise qualitative assessments of performance to management

• Translate financial data into business insights and corporate strategy into financial models

• SME for various modules of the corporate ERP system

• Partner in the sales and operational planning process

• Assist with the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes

• Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data

• Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis

• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month end reporting

• Perform ad hoc analysis for executives and external sources as required

• Other duties as required as part of the day-to-day functioning of the accounting department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Diploma or University Degree in a quantitative field with preference for candidates who majored in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics.

• 3+ years of business finance and analytical experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to prepare 3-statement financial projection models

• Strong quantitative and analytical competency with advanced Excel capabilities and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Workday Adaptive Plannings is a plus
