Job Description

Robert Half is looking to complete the growing team of a well respected and influential company with a Financial Analyst position. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial support and producing financial information for various divisions, parent company, and third parties. This includes creating internal and external standard and adhoc reports, analyzing results against budgets and trends, and implementing operational and financial improvements. The Financial Analyst position is a permanent opportunity and is situated in the Cambridge, Ontario, area.

How you will make an impact...

- Preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts,
- Analyzing sales and expenses vs. budget for monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and annual audits.
- They will also assist in the production of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide backup for Finance team members

What you bring to the role...

- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field,
- CPA designation or working towards it considered an asset.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience working in a small to mid-size organization, preparing journal entries and account reconciliation, and analyzing sales/costs/gross margin and expenses vs budget are also necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Great Plains or NetSuite is considered an asset.
