What we are looking for

We are looking for the Financial Analyst to be a key member of our finance team, charged with poring over data to help us identify, analyze, and evaluate areas of opportunity at GoodLeaf Farms.

Role & Responsibilities

Work with the Manager, FP&A in developing, implementing, and maintaining the financial reporting and budget structure for the organization including the following:

• Assist the development and rollout of monthly actuals to budget variance reporting including analysis and implementation of appropriate GL booking policies, assist accounting team with SAGEX3 report development / troubleshooting and improving current models and reporting workbooks in excel. Historical transaction booking analysis and working with Assistant Controller in standardizing booking and reporting processes.
• Development of a budget communication program for the business including developing and implementing regular reporting meeting schedules and agendas, liaising with divisional heads in developing and maintaining site level / department level budgets and fielding inquiries from each.
• Work alongside the accounting team with respect to special projects and reporting development capabilities as they relate to the financial reporting needs of the company.
• Support Senior Management teams and functional department heads with respect to their reporting needs and ad-hoc requests / special projects as they relate to the financial analysis of the business.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in a related role
• Completion of a college or university degree program with a focus on Accounting, Finance
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced user)
• High attention to detail
• Proficient in working with power point in development of presentations appropriate for Management, Board of Directors, and other senior level audience consumption
• Demonstrated critical thinking, independent problem solving and level of comfort working within a developing process environment.
