Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Aurora, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating insightful reports, and supporting decision-making processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in advanced Excel tools, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:

• Process and clean shipping reports using Power Query and advanced Excel functionalities.
• Analyze inventory replenishment costs to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain financial reports utilizing Power Pivot, pivot tables, and other advanced Excel features.
• Reconcile accounts related to shipping and inventory transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations and accounting teams to deliver accurate and timely financial data.
• Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes and workflows.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.
• Leverage data mining techniques to extract meaningful insights for financial decision-making.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and pivot tables.
• Experience with accounting software systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data.
• Knowledge of data mining techniques to derive actionable insights.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial planning.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience using CRM systems and tools like Crystal Reports is an asset.
• A background in finance or accounting with a solid understanding of accounting functions.
