We're looking for a Financial Analyst (1 Year Contract). The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia, and is also eligible for Fully Remote Working Arrangement across Canada

The Opportunity:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for:

Key player in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end process for multiple US entities.

Monthly account reconciliations and standardization of process.

Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting including preparing month-end journal entries.

Preparing and commenting on the Balance Sheet and Net Income Statement.

Intercompany monthly reconciliations and standardization of procedure.

Ensuring adherence of Corporate Accounting Policies.

Ensuring full SOX compliance, including but not limited to IPEs and WPs.

Contributing to driving process improvements and key initiatives.

Adhoc reports and presentations as needed.

In this role you'll:

Review & prepare month-end journal entries.

Prepare variance analysis - P&L and Balance Sheet.

Complete monthly account reconciliations and compliance reporting.

Complete SOX control requirements.

Here's what you bring:

2+ years of Financial Analyst experience.

University degree in finance/accounting specialization.

CPA is a strong asset.

This job will require:

Tactical and timely decision making.

Strategic problem solving.

Knowing when to escalate as required to get issue resolution.
