Student Financial Aid Officer - Mississauga Campus
We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable
Student Financial Aid Officer
to join our Mississauga Campus team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students by providing financial advising, guiding them through funding applications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide financial advising to students, helping them access educational funding resources (government programs, scholarships, personal resources)
Manage the financial aid application process, including OSAP applications, loan disbursement, and COE submissions to CCO
Ensure compliance with OSAP audits, performance requirements, and college policies
Collect tuition and courseware fees, maintain accurate student financial records, and manage collections as needed
Support admissions by financially packaging students in preparation for enrollment
Conduct student financial interviews, financial options counseling, and intake processing
Follow up daily with students to ensure all financial files are complete and packaged in time for program starts
Maintain audit readiness and compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and standards
Perform administrative functions to enhance the overall student experience
Uphold the standards and professionalism of the college in all interactions
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in business or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2-3 years of related work experience (experience in student financial aid and Private Career Colleges is strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of OSAP processes, compliance, and audits
Experience with QuickBooks and sound accounting practices
Proven background in customer service and sales (collections experience an asset)
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Zoom and Google Classroom
Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
