Financial Aid Officer

for its Ottawa campus. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, student-focused, and experienced with Ontario financial aid processes, especially OSAP.

About the Role

The Financial Aid Officer is responsible for guiding students through their funding options, processing OSAP applications, and ensuring all Ministry requirements are met. You will support adult learners with documentation, funding questions, and financial aid steps while maintaining accurate, compliant records.

What You'll Do

Assist students with OSAP applications and funding inquiries Explain financial aid options, eligibility criteria, and required documents Upload and manage documents through the

MCU portal

Release OSAP funding according to Ministry regulations Maintain complete and compliant student financial aid files Deliver financial aid orientations and funding overviews Collaborate closely with admissions, campus leadership, and finance Prepare reports, tracking sheets, and documentation for audits Use systems such as PeopleSoft, Ellucian, or MCU RES

What We're Looking For

Experience in an

Ontario Private Career College (PCC)

(

required

) Strong understanding of

OSAP workflows

and Ministry compliance Experience with

MCU RES

, PeopleSoft, or Ellucian Excellent accuracy, documentation, and organization skills Clear, patient communicator comfortable supporting adult learners Ability to manage deadlines and work independently Basic computer proficiency (email, calendars, Microsoft Office)
