Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join us as an Administrative Assistant in our Financial Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative tasks and excellent customer service skills. Previous experience working with OSAP applications would be an Asset.

Below are the core job functions for this role:

Application Processing and Verification:

Review OSAP applications, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate.

Verify the eligibility of students for financial assistance by cross-referencing provided information with OSAP criteria and guidelines.

Communicate with applicants to obtain additional information or clarification when necessary.

Financial Aid Counseling:

Explain the terms and conditions of various types of financial aid, including grants, loans, and bursaries.

Assist students in understanding their financial obligations and repayment options.

Data Management and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all OSAP-related transactions and communications within the institution's financial aid system.

Prepare regular reports on the status of OSAP applications, disbursements, and repayments.

Ensure data integrity and compliance with provincial regulations and institutional policies.

Liaison and Support Services:

Act as a liaison between the institution and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, ensuring that all OSAP-related activities comply with governmental policies and procedures.

Provide support to other departments within the institution regarding OSAP-related matters, such as academic advising and student services.

Work closely with the Financial Assistance Officer to ensure all duties are completed as required

Other Duties:

Provide administrative assistance to other departments as necessary.

Provide clerical assistance to a variety of student financial services applications.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ability to commute/relocate: Woodbridge, ON L4H 3C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
