We are a collaborative team that welcomes innovation, upholds a culture of inclusiveness and respect, and supports wellness.About the Financial Aid Advisor Role:Reporting to the Manager, Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Advisor supports the administration of the Canada-Ontario Student Loan Program (OSAP) through the consistent and effective application of MCU policies and guidelines. As a first point of contact for financial aid issues and questions, the incumbent will provide guidance and advice to students on funding programs, eligibility requirements as well as identifying opportunities for intervention in the MCU financial aid approval process. In addition, the incumbent fields general inquiries from parents, partners and other third parties, while maintaining required confidentiality of individual student records; provides advice to students and makes recommendations on how to use the budget calculator; processes OSAP applications and supporting documentation, monitors the OSAP portal to support the timely release of funds; and identifies funding applications for possible review/reassessment.
