Financial Advisor - Davie Street Meeting Place

  • This unique position calls on your strong client-focused and advice-oriented approach, combined with your flexibility and adaptability. Together, you help clients with their everyday banking (personal and business), credit, and investment needs through the use of new digital tools in our RBC Meeting place location. As an RBC ambassador, you add value in the moments that matter most to clients and collaborate with RBC colleagues and partners to help clients achieve their goals. Your ability to foster long-lasting relationships and provide professional advice allows you to contribute to the success of your clients, your business, and your community.
What will you do?
  • Communicate with clients to learn about their needs and help them achieve their goals
  • Provide professional advice and education with an ability to address complex credit and investment needs, concerning both personal and business needs
  • Focus on client education and demonstration, leveraging technology to deliver a memorable client experience, drive brand value and retain relationships
  • Inspire, orchestrate and pioneer superior retailing/hospitality excellence to deliver a memorable client experience
  • Collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts to ensure clients receive customized and targeted expert advice
  • Proactively take ownership of resolving and preventing client's banking problems
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
  • Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice, offered through the CSI (i.e. Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a relationship management role within the financial industry (i.e. Banking Advisor, Financial Advisor)
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Above average digital literacy across a broad range of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) and can learn new technology very quickly
Nice-to-have
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Active in the local community, developing a solid network in the local community
  • Strong multi-tasker and self-starter who is comfortable working independently, as well as in a flexible environment
