Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.



About the Capital Development and Facilities Management at Humber:



Capital Development & Facilities Management is responsible for new construction and renovation projects and provides project design, planning and space allocation services to improve and expand Humber's campus environment. We maintain all college buildings and grounds to provide a safe, clean, healthy and well-maintained campus environment that supports well-being and promotes excellence in teaching and learning at Humber. We also lead the college's sustainability programs through the Office of Sustainability.



About the Financial Administration Assistant Role:






Under the general direction of the Manager, Business Operations and Information Management, the incumbent performs a wide variety of tasks related to the financial tracking for the Capital Works and Facilities Management division including, but not limited to:


Processing and tracking of vendor invoices for payment and resolving any detected errors; Administering parking revenue and refunds; Maintenance of a digital invoice filing system and Capital Works project files and cost tracking logs; Ensuring that internal financial controls are followed; Reconciliation of vendor statements and clearing accounts and generation of journal entries as required;

The incumbent assists with month end and year end tasks, including preparing and processing journal entries, as well as analyzing and reconciling various general ledger accounts.



In the absence of the Customer Service Agent & Data Entry Clerk the incumbent will provide service to the college community by receiving, inputting, assigning and tracking demand work orders via the departmental work management system.

Education




2 year Diploma or equivalent - Accounting/Business

Experience/Skills




Minimum of two years of practical experience in an automated and integrated accounting environment with experience in both accounts receivable and payable Applied knowledge of computer software programs, including basic spreadsheets and word-processing applications
