Our finance team is searching for a diligent and motivated accountant to join our team. As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key player in managing the region\xe2\x80\x99s accounting transactions, intercompany reporting, and regulatory filings. You will work closely with our Global finance team in Hong Kong as well as various accounting, tax, and legal consultants to identify and implement process improvements and documentation. You will be presented with a great opportunity to learn full-cycle accounting requirements at a publicly listed company and exposure to both US and Canadian business operations. The Financial Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor at Vitasoy North America Inc. The position is an on-site role at our North York office with optional hybrid scheduling during the winter months. What You Will do \xc2\xb7 Maintain journal entries, depreciation schedules, prepaid accounts, A/P, and A/R data input Accuracy \xc2\xb7 Maintenance and reconciliation of General Ledger and corporate credit cards to ensure accurate classification of costs \xc2\xb7 Monitor A/R aging and customer credit limits \xc2\xb7 Support the Accounting Supervisor in preparation of month-end schedules to deliver an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close \xc2\xb7 Reconciliation and confirmation of intercompany balances with related entities \xc2\xb7 Assist with preparing tax-related schedules and HST filing \xc2\xb7 Support the Accounting Supervisor with periodic internal audit requests and enforcing internal control processes \xc2\xb7 Organize and maintain company financial information including both physical and electronic records on the server \xc2\xb7 Other duties and ad-hoc reports as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor Who You Are \xc2\xb7 You are actively pursuing a career in accounting and finance. You are self-driven and seeking to learn and improve your professional skills. A candidate in the CPA program would be ideal. \xc2\xb7 You are organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent deadlines. You are able to outline your tasks, arrange them in order of importance, manage multiple priorities, and execute them accordingly in an efficient manner. \xc2\xb7 You have a keen eye for detail and a desire to understand data. What We Are Looking For \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience \xc2\xb7 1-2 years of work experience in an accounting role \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, calculations, linking data across workbooks) \xc2\xb7 Experience with Quickbooks Online preferred \xc2\xb7 Organized and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy \xc2\xb7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain financial concepts to colleagues without a financial/accounting background \xc2\xb7 Strong sense of self-motivation and accountability, with a passion for collaborating with others to solve problems \xc2\xb7 An uncompromised sense of ethics, a high level of honesty, and integrity \xc2\xb7 Currently working towards accounting designation preferred Job Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits:
