The Opportunity:





We are recruiting for a

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT II




There are two regular full-time opportunities available (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) based at 737 Woolwich St. Guelph.




The Financial Accountant II plays a key role in ensuring the effective financial management of the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW), supporting both operational excellence and accountability to funders. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this position provides specialized financial expertise in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, physician payments, funder reporting and reconciliation activities. The Financial Accountant II also contributes to program and organizational sustainability by helping to ensure that spending is efficient and effective as well as within program budgets.



The Financial Accountant II works collaboratively with internal teams and community partners while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, funding agreements, and organizational policies.


Qualifications:




Diploma in Business Administration (majoring in Finance or Accounting) or similar discipline of study. Minimum of three (3) years' progressive experience in finance/accounting. Health care or non-profit sector experience is an asset. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in accounting software's and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Previous experience with Great Plains, Remote Data Capture and UKG is an asset. CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF PAY: Level 4 (OPSEU) $29.29 to $35.56 per hour
