We're a boutique business immigration law firm that helps entrepreneurs, businesses, and their families build successful lives in Canada. Our work is complex and fast-moving, and we rely on accurate, reliable financial systems to support everything we do.

We're looking for a Finance Officer who can take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations: trust and operating reconciliations, payroll, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who is careful with details, comfortable with responsibility, and eager to grow with a close-knit team.

Who Are We looking for?



A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience (law firm experience preferred). Accounting software and CRM systems Knowledge of Canadian accounting principles, trust accounting, payroll, and tax legislation is an asset. Excellent attention to detail, organization, accuracy, time management, and communication skills.

What Do We Need from You?



Maintain accurate financial records and post transactions Reconcile trust and operating accounts with bank statements Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management Review and process client invoices, receipts, and payment allocations Monitor incoming and outgoing trust and operating account transactions Prepare and organize GST/HST reports for submission to the external accountant Support year-end financial documentation Process semi-monthly payroll and related journal entries and filings Maintain filing systems for financial and payroll documentation Assist external accountants with audit and tax-related requests Support improvements to financial processes, controls, and workflows Analyze budget-to-actual variances, identify root causes and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency Build predictive cash flow models for trust and operating accounts, perform scenario analysis, and recommend optimal liquidity strategies to support firm growth Perform other related duties as required
