Finance Mgr., Project Accounting
Job Description
Our well - established long standing client is look for their next Finance Mgr, Project Accounting to come join their growing organization - As the project accountant you will be accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to clients and payments collected. This is a permanent full-time on-site position located in the West end GTA
Responsibilities:
Manage the Project team & become the Sr.Team Leader in managing the budget and ensure change orders, budget transfers, and other project documentation are kept up to date
- Prepare monthly billing, compilation, and distribution of draws for assigned projects
- Prepare accurate and timely job cost reports, cash flows, and ad-hoc reporting as needed
- Ensure the completeness of project documentation over the life of the project and through closeout
- Monthly reporting on project status to the senior Finance Manager / Controller
- Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
Requirements: / Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Accounting/Finance related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience, Designated Professional Accountant or late stages enrollment in CPA program must.
- Knowledge of the construction sector(s) / engineering and/or professional services/consulting Time & Billing / Job Costing , an asset;
