About the Role


We're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who thrives on balancing day-to-day financial execution with strategic leadership. In this role, you'll spend about 70% of your time managing and performing core accounting and finance functions, and 30% leading projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the details while also contributing to the bigger picture ensuring accurate financials, strong controls, and continuous improvement across our sales and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Management & Reporting



Lead month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness. Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Manage cash flow, investments, and working capital to optimize financial position. Ensure compliance with all tax, audit, and government reporting requirements (Canada & U.S.).

Strategic Analysis & Decision Support



Partner with senior leadership to analyze performance, identify trends, and drive profitability. Lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance system efficiency. Conduct ROI, break-even, and investment analyses to support business growth. Lead monthly and quarterly financial review meetings and contribute to strategic planning sessions.

Operational Oversight



Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Benefits administration. Manage credit, collections, and vendor relationships to maintain financial discipline. Support system enhancements and efficiency improvements across departments.

Compliance, Culture & Continuous Improvement



Ensure adherence to financial, regulatory, and safety standards. Mentor and support the Bookkeeper, fostering growth and accountability. Promote collaboration and accountability across teams. Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, controls, and processes. Actively participate in leadership meetings and strategic discussions.

What You Bring



CPA designation or equivalent experience preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment. Strong analytical mindset and business acumen with a focus on accuracy and process improvement. Proven ability to balance tactical execution with strategic insight. Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, Ceridian) and Excel.

Salary Range:



To be discussed during the interview process but is depend upon year of experience and the specific skillset the successful candidate is bringing with them.
