About Us:

NLC Vernon is a faith-based organization dedicated to serving our community with integrity and compassion. We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Finance Manager to join our team and help steward our financial operations with transparency and care.

Position Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health of the organization, ensuring accurate record-keeping, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about using their financial expertise to support meaningful community impact.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and board review Develop and monitor budgets in collaboration with program leads Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and charitable reporting standards Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and funding requirements Support grant tracking and financial reporting for funded programs Recommend improvements to financial systems and internal controls

Qualifications:



Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based setting Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of Canadian charitable compliance and reporting Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams Alignment with the values and mission of New Life Centre
