THE ROLE



WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING



Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance leadership team helping to guide and steward the organization financially.

Manage a team of 1-2 financial analysts, providing coaching as well as career and development guidance and support.

Assist with the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), LE (latest estimate) as well as contribute to the creation of the 5-year strategic plan.

Contribute to the month-end financial reporting and analysis process including partnering with stakeholders and understanding variances to plan with focus on sales, cost of goods sold and gross profit.

Contribute to the quarterly bank reporting including compiling commentary to explain key variances to plan and last year.

Oversee the development of pricing for new product opportunities as well as current customer price maintenance.

Participate in the S&OP forecasting process as a finance lead assisting with the evaluation of sales results and the forecasting of future months and full year sales, as well as the identification of risks & opportunities.

Provide business partnering to key stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Services, IT, and Engineering.

Responsible for the development, maintenance and integrity of key financial reports including the product profitability report, rate/mix/volume analysis across sales, materials and labour, and standard costing methodology

Participate in the capital review process, assisting capital stakeholders with tracking capital expenditures and conducting pre- and post-evaluations of proposed capital investments.

Participate in the continuous improvement (CI) process tracking and evaluating prospective and existing CI initiatives.

Contribute to the assessment, oversight and audit of critical internal controls that are associated with the key responsibilities of the role.

Assist with the oversight of the financial integrity of the financial data and reporting from the Batch Master ERP system.

Work on special projects and other duties as required.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

Professional accounting designation (CPA)

Minimum 2 years of people management experience

Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience including business partnering with various stakeholders including commercial, operations and/or supply chain

Experience in CPG/food industry preferred

Excellent Excel and modelling skills, and competent working with large data sets

Strong information technology and systems knowledge (SAP/Batch Master)

Accomplished business analytics skills with a demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

Strong written and verbal communication skills including articulating complex financial analyses to non-financial colleagues

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision and amid multiple priorities

Builds strong relationships based on trust and credibility with internal stakeholders

Demonstrates business curiosity and initiative to understand and improve business, operations and accounting processes, and solve issues on their own

Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
