Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, detail?oriented Finance Manager to own our financial operations, including billing, month-end close, reporting, commissions, grants/SRED, audit preparation, and financial analysis. This hybrid role blends accounting discipline with forward-looking finance and requires comfort working cross?functionally and directly with leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full monthly financial close, including reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, AR/AP review, and variance analysis. Manage billing and revenue operations including invoicing cycles, subscription updates, cancellations, onboarding invoices, and revenue tie-outs. Oversee accounts receivable follow-up and collections. Support AP coding, vendor payments, and payroll inputs. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and departmental spend insights. Maintain and update forecasts, cash flow models, and SaaS KPI metrics. Calculate quarterly sales commissions, partner commissions, and bonus programs. Support annual review engagement, insurance due diligence, grants, and SRED financing documentation. Support legal compliance, banking documentation, corporate filings, and cap table administration. Improve financial processes, controls, and system efficiency as the business scales.

Qualifications (Required)

5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Direct experience owning the month-end close process. Experience with SaaS billing, recurring revenue models, and subscription operations. Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and revenue recognition. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and strong Excel/Sheets skills. Experience preparing documentation for auditors, lenders, or government grant programs. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross?functionally. High attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

CPA designation or in progress. Experience with HubSpot, Stripe, SaaSOptics, or billing automation tools. Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and SaaS metrics. Experience with capital raises or investor reporting.
