Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a detail orientated, solutions driven Finance Manager based out of our Nisku office.

Overview

The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the organization. This position is responsible for managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial concepts, enabling them to drive strategic initiatives and support business development efforts.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost management. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with all accounting standards. Conduct risk analysis and manage compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Lead corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. Manage treasury functions and cash flow analysis to optimize liquidity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development initiatives. Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders, interpreting data to inform decision-making. Ensure accuracy in fiscal management through account reconciliation and balance sheet management. Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills

Strong knowledge of financial management principles including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Proficiency in financial software and tools for effective data analysis and reporting. Expertise in corporate finance, investment management, and treasury management practices. Ability to conduct thorough risk management assessments and implement effective strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation. Strong analytical skills with a focus on profit & loss analysis, fiscal management, and account analysis. Leadership capabilities to guide teams through complex financial projects while ensuring compliance with regulations. A solid understanding of technical accounting principles including accrual accounting and revenue management.
