Finance Manager



POSITION OVERVIEW



The Finance Manager works in close collaboration with shareholders to create value and deliver strategic financial reporting to senior management. This individual ensures the company's financial and regulatory compliance, maintains the integrity of accounting information, and oversees financial and accounting operations in coordination with the accounting technician.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Oversight, Analysis, and Financial Performance Optimization



Develop and maintain a robust financial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives Coordinate and oversee the preparation of annual budgets and short-, medium-, and long-term investment plans for board review and approval Analyze the company's financial and operational performance, identifying key variances and trends relative to industry benchmarks Build and sustain strong business relationships with financial institutions and external partners Produce and present financial analyses and dashboards (KPIs, cost structures, etc.) to support decision-making and issue recommendations based on findings Supervise the accurate and timely production of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting and tax standards Manage year-end audit processes with external auditors and follow up on recommendations Ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls (expense approvals, signature delegation, budget tracking)

Day-to-Day Management of Accounting and Administrative Activities



Coordinate and supervise the work of accounting technician Ensure timely payroll processing, invoicing, payments, and collections Oversee the preparation and submission of tax reports and other government filings Ensure proper archiving and security of financial documents Identify opportunities to improve accounting policies and procedures and ensure their implementation Oversee the implementation of specialized systems and applications, ensuring ongoing technological advancement Support the implementation and monitoring of the company's HR policies

Key qualifications



Education

CPA designation and advanced training in accounting and finance
Professional Experience

Experience in corporate financial management (minimum 3 years); leadership role considered an asset.

Job conditions



Fulltime (40 hres)

Compensation and Benefits



Base salary: $95,000 to $115,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications

Bonus structure based on performance

Access to a health spending account (HSA)

Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Paid time off: 3 weeks of vacation annually
