Overview
The Manager, Finance will take the lead role in supporting operations on business and financial analysis as well as leading the overall Business Plan and Guidance processes - primarily for the Communities division but potential to work with other divisions in the Alberta region in the future. These responsibilities are carried out both through completion of specific tasks as well as through leading team members across multiple disciplines responsible for completing specific tasks, across operations, finance, and accounting teams.
Your Key Deliverables
ForecastingLead monthly guidance process including preparing, consolidating and reviewing
Provide recommendations to senior leadership/Ops leadership on guidance, including identifying and communicating risks and opportunities to achieving
Help lead the Business Plan process including preparing, consolidating and reviewing
Provide recommendations to senior leadership/Ops leadership on Business Plan, including identifying and communicating risks and opportunities to achieving
Prepare, consolidate and review AB Executive Summary and other key Quarterly analysis
Coordinate with other members of the Finance team (senior financial analysts) to review and consolidate individual asset results into both city and Alberta wide results
Operations SupportMonthly forecasting/continuity
Project approvals
Production planning
Sales and margin analysis
Project budget/job cost maintenance
LandDev system
Business AnalysisCompleting analysis at the request of senior leadership
Proactively identifying and analyzing opportunities/areas for improvement and providing recommendations on the same
Must HavesCPA Designation or equivalent and 8+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major or medium-sized company.
Strong leadership skills and track record of leading people and process through self and others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify risks/issues and recommend solutions
Proficiency in planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and building, and managing complex financial models
