British Empire Fuels is looking for a Finance Manager who shall be responsible for:
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department of British Empire Fuels Inc.
Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions
Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
Establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Preparing accurate information for the Owners and General Manager, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial reports and statements
Month-end and year-end process and audits
Accounts Payable and Receivable supervision
Reviewing the general ledger and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in a timely manner
Payroll and utilities
Process monthly card-lock invoices
Ensure timely processing of customer invoices
Bank reconciliation
Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
General bookkeeping
Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to organizational departments
Provide recommendations and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Assist in providing an exceptional customer experience
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager will have the following:
An accounting designation
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills
Strong analytical, collaborative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Skills
Proven working experience as a Finance or Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Bookkeeper
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to direct and supervise
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
