Adecco is currently seeking an accomplished Finance Manager to join our client's team on a 1-year contract in Belleville, Ontario. In this hybrid role (1-2 days in office per week), you will play a key leadership role in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure strong fiscal governance and compliance. The Finance Manager will collaborate across departments, support procurement and contract processes, and provide strategic financial insights to guide organizational decisions.   • Pay rate: $140k-$160k/year.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading budget planning and forecasting cycles to support strategic decision-making.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Supporting procurement and contract compliance in alignment with Ontario Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directives.
  • Liaising with internal departments, external auditors, and funding partners.
  • Ensuring adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing grant reporting and compliance activities.
  • Providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • A four-year degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A CPA designation (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working within public sector or post-secondary financial environments.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Banner, Workday, or similar ERP software.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and contract management processes.
  • Knowledge of Ontario BPS Procurement Directives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
