Job Description

Full Time Permanent Position

- 35 hour per week (Monday to Friday with flexibility to work weekends when needed)

The Finance Manager will directly report to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing the financial health of an organization, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop long-term financial strategies, prepare budgets, and conduct financial forecasting to ensure the organization meets its financial goals.

Budget Management: Oversee the preparation and management of budgets in concert with CEO, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that spending aligns with organizational objectives.

Financial Reporting: Responsible for generating financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, monitor financial risks, and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.

Investment Management: Directing investment activities, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for growth and profitability along with Finance Committee guidance

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments to align financial strategies with business objectives and communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Lead finance teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective financial operations.

Additional Responsibilities

Cost Control: Identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within the organization.

Strategic Decision Support: Advising Chief Executive Officer on financial decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, funding requests, and capital investments.

Market Analysis: Keeping abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform financial strategies.

Overall, finance managers play a critical role in shaping the financial future of their organizations by providing strategic insights and ensuring sound financial practices. Their responsibilities are essential for maintaining the financial stability and growth of the organization.

Duties































Qualifications:



3 years minimum proven work experience in financial management

Must be familiar with the uses of financial platforms such as Quickbooks, ADP, etc

Valid driver's license in good standing

Strong knowledge of office procedures & office management systems (i.e. MS Office)

Familiarity with online calendars

Excellent communication skills (via phone, email and in-person)

Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information

Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
