MEI Finance Manager

Full-time Continuing appointment

MEI is a growing independent Pre K-12 school system with approximately 1600 students. Our schools rank among the top elementary, middle, and secondary schools in Abbotsford and across the province.


The MEI Head of Schools is inviting applications for the position of MEI Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the management and administration of the Finance Department, including the preparation, administration, and monitoring of operating and capital budgets, monthly accounting, financial planning, and reporting.


The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, finance, or related field CPA preferred or recognized accounting designation (or actively working toward one) Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting and financial management Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated strength in writing, editing and proofreading High degree of flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team Attention to detail in all areas of work.
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000.
This position requires the successful candidate to sign an MEI Staff Covenant indicating acceptance of and agreement with MEI Schools' Christian values.
