Finance Director-Division
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the full financial planning, analysis, control and reporting for Aqualitas Inc.
Provide insight and strategic recommendations to the leadership team.
Develop and lead financial strategy, goals, and objectives for fast growing contract manufacturer.
Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management.
Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model, and operational execution.
Complete analysis of financial results; develop recommendations (strategic and tactical)
Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., new product lines, new formulations, etc.)
Oversee cash, investment, and treasury and asset management.
Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans.
Build and oversee accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function; supervise company.
Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
Oversee preparation and review of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements
Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits.
Maintain a valid Security Clearance in accordance with Health Canada's requirements
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Qualified accountant (CPA), with at least 10 years previous job experience
Cannabis and bio-asset accounting experience
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working in SAP would be a definite asset.
Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Skill Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment
Experience handling budgets and forecasting/reporting results
Knowledge of the Cannabis Industry
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage/execute multiple ongoing projects
Knowledge of GMP and GPP is an asset
Ability to act independently and as a team member
Attention to detail and accuracy including thorough documentation abilities
Adaptability and flexibility
Ability to prioritize activities and adjust priorities on short notice
Excellent comprehension, communication and interpersonal skills
