Job Description

On behalf of our Valued Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Finance Data Entry Contractor to join our Client's team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) and the Client is based in Burnaby, BC.
Summary of the Role
The Finance Data Entry Contractor will support the Finance team during a period of increased workload. The role focuses on accurate entry and verification of financial data, ensuring timely processing of accounts receivable activities, and maintaining organized accounting records.
Duties & Responsibilities
Enter and verify financial transactions including invoices, expenses, and orders.
Prepare and send invoices and order confirmations to customers and partners.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain supporting records.
Support the Finance team with accounts receivable operations and related tasks.
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with established accounting procedures.
Core Requirements
Previous data entry experience within accounting or finance systems.
Knowledge of invoice processing and reconciliation.
Ability to work onsite in Burnaby, BC, 3 days per week.
Familiarity with general ledger reconciliations.
Experience with accounts receivable processes.
Desired Skills & Experience
Prior experience sending invoices and order confirmations.
Exposure to accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Sage, JIRA, Salesforce).
Background in utility or large-scale corporate environments.
Strong organizational and accuracy-focused approach.
Ability to handle high-volume financial data entry.
Terms
This is a 6-month contract role with potential for extension. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite each week in Burnaby, BC. Work is primarily expected to be within standard business hours (9-5). The successful candidate will use client-provided hardware.
