Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software and working within an international company. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth.

Duties

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax planning strategies.

Skills

7+ years of accounting experience, Understanding of international accounting and working with entities in Canada, US and UK. Experience and understanding of Transfer Pricing Agreements Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential. Strong knowledge of reimbursement and incentive programs i.e SR&ED (Canada) Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments. Experience in accounts payable processes is advantageous. A professional qualification in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
