Camrose County is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical and administrative skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in managing financial records. This role involves supporting various financial processes, maintaining documentation, and providing excellent customer service. The Finance Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department.
Responsibilities
Manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Responding to general inquiries and referral of all department specific inquiries as appropriate.
Provide services to ratepayers and others and maintain an accurate database.
Maintain organized financial records through effective filing systems.
Provide customer support by addressing inquiries.
Responsible for the processing of accounts receivable and utilities on monthly and maintenance of the A/R and Utility Accounts.
Responsible for ordering office and coffee supplies.
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Post secondary courses in Accounting or Business Administration would be an asset
Minimum of three years experience in a complex organization such as an accounting firm would be an asset
Municipal experience is preferred
Competent knowledge of computers and the ability to effectively use applications and software including proven experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of the Municipal Government Act would be an asset
Local Government courses related to Municipal Government operations would be an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Provide a clean criminal record check
Great customer service skills
Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize.
Pay close attention to detail
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Able to work independently and also in a team environment
Familiarity with Camrose County would be an asset
