Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting on all business intelligence related matters, including reporting, data management, database administration, and technical support. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Admin/ Communication

• Create and maintain BI documentation for all processes and related data dictionary, design logic, flowchart, and user manual.
• Assist in stakeholder management, build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate issues, actively engage, influence and work collaboratively as a team member.

Education

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Accounting, Finance or related studies.

Years of Experience

• 3 Years

Working Conditions

• Hours of Operation: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Knowledge and Experience

• Strong Proficiency with complex SQL, T, SQL, and Cross-Server Data Integration.
• Extensive knowledge in ETL process using SSIS, REST API, and Web API.
• Advanced level in MS BI Tools (Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power Apps)
• Experience in OLAP, data warehousing, and relational databases
• Knowledge in one of the data analysis programming languages such as Python, R.
• Knowledge in ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Sage) is an asset
• Experience in design high-quality dashboards and reporting service implementation is an asset
• Attention to detail and accuracy are required

Job Specific Duties

• Work within a team to design and develop date projects, assist in Source-to-Target data mappings integration workflows and ETL processes.
• Create and maintain databases, tables, stored procedures, indexes, database check constraints, and business rules using advanced of T-SQL.
• Monitor, analyze and optimize, data architecture, data quality, and system efficiency.
• Deliver and maintain high quality BI reporting package, KPI scorecards, and dashboards.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop value-added reporting and provide ad-hoc extracts.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist in maintain a scalable BI environment that will support current and future business growth.
• Assist in day-to-day technical support and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in system implementation and process automation to optimize performance and business intelligence efficiency.
• Any other necessary tasks assigned by the Manager.
