Finance Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable. Assist in preparing invoices, receipts, and payment schedules. Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy. Maintain financial files, databases, and spreadsheets with up-to-date information. Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal use. Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding payments and billing inquiries. Support the finance team during audits and budgeting processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and Canadian financial regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role. Basic understanding of financial and bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.). Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity. Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
