Then, this is your next career opportunity as a Finance and Administrative Clerk.In this role, you will be the backbone of our Head Office, handling essential office administration tasks and supporting our Finance and Administration team both on-site and remotely. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring seamless payment processing activities and providing comprehensive administrative support to our dedicated team.Primary AccountabilitiesYour responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks. For general office administration, you will coordinate internal and external meetings and events, manage office inventory requests, and serve as the first point of contact for facilities-related issues. You will coordinate mail, ensure urgent matters are efficiently addressed, answer telephone inquiries, and draft various types of correspondence. Your role in payment processing will involve receiving, verifying, balancing, and maintaining payments related to clients and suppliers, analyzing invoices, and ensuring appropriate authorization and coding for payments.You will create and submit cheque requisitions, verify vendor numbers, and maintain accurate and detailed files in compliance with our filing systems. Additionally, you will provide support to management and the Finance and Administration team by scheduling meetings, formatting documents, recording minutes, and preparing reports.Qualifications and ExperienceYou will have at least three (3) years of experience in an administrative support role, ideally with exposure to finance-related tasks. Your background demonstrates excellent customer service skills and a proven ability to assist and communicate effectively both in person and by phone.You excel under pressure and can work independently in a fast-paced environment. Your accurate keyboarding skills, combined with a working knowledge of various software programs, Microsoft Office, and databases, enable you to deliver efficient and effective administrative support.While not required, the following qualifications are considered assets:

  • Completion of a business course
  • Knowledge of services and programs offered by the Department and other community agencies
  • Experience with financial tasks such as payment processing, invoice verification, and creating cheque requisitions
  • Familiarity with SAP
