About the role:

The Finance Analyst reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring annual operating budgets, preparation & reconciliation of year-end working papers and annual regulatory reporting, maintaining capital lien and various other revenue generating programs & applications, and other duties as assigned, such as policy & procedure reviews, special projects initiatives, operational assistance and backup role to the Finance Manager. This is a permanent full-time position.

Salary Range: Range 7, $78,332- $93,112

Well-developed organizational skills Superior attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills Self-directed and initiative-taking Confidence in seasoned accounting skills Ability to be senior member of and at times lead a Finance department

Education & experience required:



Bachelor degree in Business/Commerce and completion of a recognized professional accounting designation; Minimum five years experience in budgeting, accounting cycle and reporting; Demonstrated project management experience; Strong ability to self-direct and work effectively in a team environment; Strong technical computer skills including the ability to operate accounting software; Previous experience in municipal government, an asset.
