Job Description


As a member of the Finance team, your main role will be to act as an analyst in the shared North American Services contact section, more specifically with the accounts receivable group covering Canadian and American entities. Reporting directly to the team leader, the analyst will closely support a team comprised of several analysts and technicians in creating and building tools and reports which will help foster good management in the department. Additionally, you will be responsible for:

Follow cash inflow and outflow on a daily basis and anticipate future cash inflows and outflows with the goal of maximizing cash management.

Actively participate in the accounting period closing process by preparing analyses of accounts surrounding receivables and other connected accounts all while inputting the log entries into the system.

Assure the quality of financial information by conducting internal SOX checks under your own responsibility.

Prepare and balance inter-company balance sheets with multiple BRP companies; communicate with other companies or divisions to efficiently resolve discrepancies.

Improve efficiency of team processes by ramping up automation of analysis tools currently in use and creating new tools.

Design and build (KPI) tools and indicators in order to track the department?s performance and assure good management.

Prepare sales tax returns.

Approve daily exchange rates in the system.

Contribute to the end of the year audit file.

Participate in team improvement projects.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

A bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance tracks;

Good command of French and English, both written and spoken.

A minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of relevant experience;

Customer services abilities, well-developed analytical, problem-solving, negotiating and judgement skills.

Ability to work comfortably with computer tools and skillfulness using several systems and databases. Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.

Analytical mind and ability to synthesize

Proactivity, sense of initiative and team spirit.

Organization, planning and priority management skills.
